The Dead Sea is not a sea. It is a big l  1  in the Jordan valley. It is near the city of Jericho. The river Jordan runs into the Dead Sea. It c  2  from the north. The lake is 400 meters below sea level. The sun is hot there a  3  the water is salty. Fish cannot live in the salty water and plants cannot grow near it. People cannot swim w  4   in the Dead Sea, but they can float on the water. The water is very blue and the air is c    5. In the winter people come to the lake. They sit in the sunshine or bath in the warm water.
